Huawei Watch GT 2e review

The Huawei Telecom Company gives an update to its smartwatches to include new designs, including the GT 2e, which is made for the more sport activities.

It's made using stainless steel, has spiral patterns on the notch, plus an integrated strap. That means it doesn't have the same quick release strap of the previous models. It's been designed this way to make it more comfortable and smooth.

It can up to 14 days without needing to be charged, due to high efficiency Kirin A1 processor inside. This power efficiency also means you can track workouts as long as 30 hours, if you need it to. So it should survive even your longest runs, hikes and rides. It can also go 24 hours with music on.

It's waterproof to 50 metres, and can measure  heart rate even when  swimming. Including , there's a dedicated SpO2 monitor for measuring your blood's oxygen saturation.

For the fitness focused, Huawei's tracking options now include 100 different modes of workout, with more choices like skateboarding, rock climbing,  and parkour as well as automatic notification for a few basic workouts like running, walking and elliptical machines. Other health metrics include daily heart rate, sleep and stress.

When connected with a phone, you can use it as a remote shutter button for taking selfies from a distance and also you can get smartphone notifications right on your wrist.

The software is basically health-focused, and built in-house by Huawei just like previous Watch GT models.

In Nigeria, the GT 2e will go on sale for £159(N72,284.78) starting from 15 April.
